Geometry Dash 2.1 (January 2017)
Geometry Dash 2.1 is the most recent update. Released about a year and a half
after the previous version, it was a major update with over half a dozen new features added.
A new level called Fingerdash
was made for the game.
«Spider Mode» was a major highlight of 2.1, which instantly teleported
the player to the top or bottom of the screen. 2.1 also had over 100 new
icons added, a reward system, quests, a red orb which boosted
players higher in the air than ever before, and a black orbs that threw players
to the bottom.
In addition, this version contained a new 4x speed portal,
new shops to buy icons, a vault system
with codes to unlock icons, new difficulty levels for demons, and lots more.
Finally, new features in the editor were added, advancing custom levels even further.
It was a massive update to say the least.
Various features of the Geometry Dash Lite
Character Select
There are 7 different characters in this entertaining game. They are Cube, Ship, Ball, UFO, Wave, Robot, and Spider. These characters will appear after you go through the respective portals. The game will place portals in unexpected places. Each of these characters has a different way of moving.
- Cube character will move according to the slope of the game. Your character will rotate while jumping.
- Ship character will fly in the air. You need to click for the Ship to fly to the top and release it to fly to the bottom.
- The Ball character has the same movement as the Ball character. The Ball will also roll along the slope of the game.
- UFO character is the next character with the ability to fly. You need to click to control this character flying in the air.
- Wave character is a special character with a zigzag way of flying. The special way of moving has created the uniqueness of this character.
- Robot characters will move on the ground like regular robots. Click to make the character jump.
- Spider characters move like spiders. This character will use his legs to move on the ground.
In addition, there are many different skins for each character. For example, you can choose from one of 148 skins for the Cube character and one of 51 skins for the Ship character. Moreover, you can color each skin. The color palette is extremely diverse with 96 different colors.
Another innovation of this game is the effect on your character. You can choose effects when moving and dying in two sections after the 7 main characters of this game.
Game Modes
This game provides 15 game modes for gamers. Each mode gives you different difficulty levels. You can see the number of stars in the upper right to know the difficulty of that mode. The more stars the mode has, the higher the difficulty is. You can see some featured modes such as Stereo Madness, Back On Track, Base After Base, and Dry Out. Besides that, there are many different modes on the list of game modes. Can you conquer all modes? You need to complete 100% of each mode to gain the winner title. Try to overcome as many modes as possible and achieve admirable achievements!
Achievements
This game gives you many interesting challenges. Each challenge corresponds to a title and achievement. You can follow the challenges in the Trophy Section on the Main Menu. There are various achievements for you to conquer. Let’s see some featured achievements you can gain! You can complete Stereo Madness in Practice mode and Normal mode or overcome On My Way in Practice mode and Back On Track in Normal mode.
Besides, you can install some other options for this game. You can follow Rate, How To Play, Music, and SFX in the Setting section. Set them to the most convenient mode for you. In addition, you can track your stats after participating in this running game. There are 14 stats, including total jump, total attempts, collected stars, collected diamonds, total orbs collected, complete levels, completed online levels, completed demon levels, completed daily levels, completed secret coins, completed users coins, complete map pack, link / dislinked levels, and rated levels.
Geometry Dash 1.6 (March 2014)
The seventh major update to Geometry Dash was released in March 2014
and showcased new features and two new levels. The levels were titled
Electroman Adventures and
Clubstep, with the songs composed
by Waterflame and DJ-Nate respectively. Clubstep was the first official Demon level.
A big change in this update was the
addition of three secret coins per level. Collecting coins allowed players to
gain icons, ships, balls, and UFOs. Plus, map packs were introduced,
containing 3 levels per map pack. In addition, new blocks were added
in this update which would disappear when the player approached them.

Geometry Dash 2.2 (Unknown)
Geometry Dash fans have been waiting patiently since early 2017 for a new version
to be released. It’s unclear if or when the author will publish an update.
The good news is that RobTop Games has recently been putting out some Geometry Dash teasers of new features
to come. The RobTop Games Twitter account and
YouTube channel both published videos
in May 2019 showing some new level editor concepts, including the scale trigger and random trigger.

Geometry Dash 2.0 (August 2015)
After almost a year of waiting, Geometry Dash 2.0 was released.
Two new levels were added, Deadlocked and
Geometrical Dominator.
The biggest update in the game’s history, it added tons of new blocks and features
in the level editor, such as increasing the number of colors
from 4 to infinite. It also added the ability to move
objects with a single block, called the move block. This was much
easier than moving objects in 1.9.
New types of spikes were added,
including the dragon spike, which chomped at the player. A new style of
jump ring was added, the green jump ring, which would switch gravity.
Also, A new mode was added, titled «Robot Mode.» Lots of new
backgrounds and ground sprites were added, and the ability to create new ones.
New icons, ships, balls, UFOs, waves, and robot icons were
introduced. Furthermore, 2.0 added the feature to teleport players.
EDM composer F-777 debuted as a Geometry Dash music artist. A new type of user
coin was added which had the same properties as a typical secret coin, but could be used in
custom levels. Also, keys were added in 2.0, which could cause a chain reaction
in levels.
